James Bond films have developed a tradition of producing songs which have become major pop hits over the 50 years since the first 007 Movie hit the screen and for the first time you can see some of the finest musical Bond moments on stage at The Athenaeum Theatre, Collins Street Melbourne for two nights only, 8 and 9 November.

Backed by the 14 piece Spectre Orchestra and with video artistry of VJ Georgie Pinn, The Songs of James Bond will include such classic hits as Gold Finger(Shirley Bassey) Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney) Diamonds Are Forever (Shirley Bassey), Thunderball (Tom Jones) Sky Fall (Adele, who won a Grammy for the theme to this highly successful movie).

The Songs of James Bond bring together some of Australia's most accomplished and respected singers to perform these unforgettable songs. Maria Mercedes, Kiyomi Vella, Susie Ahern and Ben Mingay, with the 14 piece Spectre Orchestra, will give their own contemporary edge to these timeless classics rather than presenting them as purely covers.

The songs and music of the James Bond films have been a vital part of the success of the James Bond movie franchise. Over the last 50 years they have been performed by some of the greatest artists of the modern era. The songs continue to set the benchmark for excellence.

Together the sight and sound of The Songs Of James Bond will feature twenty two songs from the James Bond films in a two hour concert that will appeal to music lovers of all ages and every fan of the phenomena which is James Bond.

Maria Mercedes and Susie Ahern, two of Australia's most respected singers, have a wealth of experience between them and have sung with the who's who of the Australian music scene.

Ben Mingay and Kiyomi Vella represent the new breed of Australian singers with limitless talent who have already established their own style and sound.

Designed specifically for the concert, visual artist Georgie Pinn will be providing a visual backdrop of images and footage inspired by the James Bond Films.
