When a tight-knit circle of married gays (Chris & Ezra) and lesbians (Pam & Jules) – comfy in the new mainstream – find themselves challenged by the perspectives of their dapper transgender friend Henry and his new young girlfriend Myna, it’s clear that the march toward progress is anything but unified. As events unfold, tensions rise, and long-buried resentments and insecurities surface, each character is forced to confront their own biases and assumptions about gender, sexuality, and relationships. Grappling with questions of privilege, intersectionality, and the evolving landscape of LGBTQIA+ rights and acceptance, conservative hearts are revealed where you’d least expect.
Through Harrison's sharp and witty dialogue, Log Cabin invites audiences to reflect on the complexities of LGBTQIA+ identities and the challenges faced by individuals within the community. Exploring themes of acceptance, authenticity, and the pursuit of happiness, Log Cabin offers a nuanced and thought-provoking portrayal of queer life. While charting the breakdown of empathy that occurs when individuals believe their rights are secure.
