La Maleta de Maebelle is a heartwarming bilingual journey inspired by "Maebelle’s Suitcase" by Tricia Tusa, brought to life for audiences of all ages in a world premiere production. Join Maebelle as she embarks on a whimsical adventure, befriending Binkle, a bird with a migration dilemma. As Maebelle generously offers her cherished suitcase from her own migration from Colombia, she delves into profound reflections on the significance of our possessions and memories.
Through laughter and tears, they discover the beauty of remembrance and the liberating power of letting go. Don't miss this enchanting tale celebrating friendship, cultural heritage, and the universal lessons found within the stories of our lives. Featuring sophisticated puppetry, environmental themes, and original Colombian music by Kiko Villamizar. Puppetry and performance by Stephanie Vasquez Fonseca and Gricelda Silva, and design by Caroline Reck, Kelli Bland, Anatar Marmol Gagne, Kade Conklin, Connor Hopkins, Rachel Atkinson, and K. Eliot Haynes.
