The 1987 Pulitzer prize winning play for Best Drama and a 1987 Tony Award winner for Best Play, Fences, by August Wilson. Set in the 1950s, Fences explores the evolving African-American experience, race relations, and other themes. Troy Maxson, a former star of the African-American baseball leagues, now works as a garbage man in 1957 Pittsburgh. Excluded from the major leagues in his prime, Troy has grown increasingly bitter, and his anger and frustration take a toll on his relationships with his wife and son.Directed by Jeremy Rashad Brown.
