The TexARTS Professional Series presents The Great American Trailer Park Musical with music and lyrics by David Nehls, and book by Betsy Kelso. The hilarious Off-Broadway hit about no good men, strippers on the run and spray cheese plays August 17 - September 1, 2018 at the Kam & James Morris Theatre in Lakeway.

"If you need to escape, and good laugh then you will want to hang out with us at the 'trailer park' this summer," said TexARTS Executive Producer Jarret Mallon. "The show is filled with show stopping numbers while being part Saturday Night Live and part Jerry Springer Show."

The cast features Boni Hester, Julie Foster, Jarret Mallon, Cara Statham Serber, Alyssa Malgeri, Zach Thompson and Emily Villarreal.

"We have assembled a first-rate cast of comedic actors who sing this score with so much heart and power. It going to be an unforgettable show," said Mallon.

Sarah Gay and Susan Finnigan, the team that staged TexARTS' hit, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, return as director and musical director respectively. The production team includes Hannah Arguelles (choreographer), Kevin Squires (scenic design), Rachel Atkinson (light design), Andrew Twenter (sound design), Benjamin Taylor Ridgway (costume design) and Mary Cox (stage manager).

There's a new tenant at Armadillo Acres, and she's wreaking havoc all over Florida's most exclusive trailer park. The double-wide divas of this fine housing establishment have survived everything from kidnapping to no-good men to bad perms! But when Pippi, a "stripper on the run," comes between agoraphobic housewife Jeannie and her tollbooth collector husband, a storm begins to brew that will shake these manufactured homes right down to their foundations! WARNING: This musical contains tacky outfits, bad wigs, crude language, adultery, and spray cheese.

Single tickets start at $43. Single tickets are available by calling the TexARTS Box Office at 512-852-9079 x101 or at www.tex-arts.org. Contains adult themes, 17+ welcome. Group rates are available.
