Steve Vinovich to Star as LBJ in Texas Premiere of ALL THE WAY at ZACH Theatre This Spring

ZACH Theatre announces the full cast for the upcoming Texas Premiere of 2014 Tony Award - winning play All The Way by Robert Schenkkan, based on Lyndon Baines Johnson's first year as President of the United States. ZACH Theatre Producing Artistic Director DAVE STEAKLEY will direct at the Topfer Theatre on the Karen Kuykendall stage April 8 - May 10, 2015.

Noted Broadway, film, and television actor STEVE VINOVICH will star as President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Mr. Vinovich performed the role of Rep. Emanuel Cellar in the Broadway production of All The Way and was the understudy to Bryan Cranston as LBJ. Broadway and film actor MELVIN ABSTON, most recently in Broadway's Sister Act, will play Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. ROBERT WALDEN who is best known for his role as Joe Rossi on Lou Grant for which he was nominated for an Emmy three times, will portray J. Edgar Hoover and Sen. Robert Byrd. Walden also starred in the films Blue Sunshine, The Hospital, All the President's Men, and Capricorn One.

The 17 member ensemble cast includes NICOLE SCHIRO as Lady Bird Johnson and Katharine Graham; MICHAEL MILLER (The King & I) as Sen. Hubert Humphrey; AMBER QUICK as Muriel Humphrey; MILES CHICK as Robert McNamara and Sen.James Eastland; DELANTE G. KEYS as Bob Moses, David Dennis, and James Harrison; MICHELLE ALEXANDER (The Gospel At Colonus) as Coretta Scott King and Fannie Lou Hamer; WILLIAM "BILL" EARL RAY (The Gospel At Colonus) as Roy Wilkins and Aaron Henry; RICK SMITH as Gov. George Wallace and Walter Ruether; RICHARD ROMEO as Rev. Ralph Abernathy; J. QUINTON JOHNSON (LES MISERABLES) as Stokely Carmichael and James Earl Chaney; GARRY PETERS (Boyhood) as Sen. Richard Russell; DAVID JARROTT (Peter and the Starcatcher) as Rep. Howard "Judge" Smith and Sen.Everett Dirksen; CRAIG ROOKE as Walter Jenkins, and RICK ROEMER (A Christmas Carol) as Stanley Levison and Rep. John McCormack.

On the prodcution team are: Dave Steakley - Director; Natalie Novacek - Assistant Director; Cliff Simon - Scenic Designer; Michael McDonald - Costume Designer; Michelle Habeck - Lighting Designer; Craig Brock - Sound Designer; Scott Groh - Properties Designer; Russell M. A searing, enthralling dramatization of President Johnson's first year in office, All The Way illuminates the passage of The Civil Rights Act and a pivotal point in American history. All The Way enjoyed critical success earning the 2013 Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, Outer Critics Circle, and New York Drama Critics' Circle Awards for Best Play as well as the 2014 Tony Award for Best Play.
