Penfold Theatre Company celebrates its tenth anniversary at A Marvelous Party: Delovely, a fundraising gala on Sunday, April 29th.
Cole Porter earned his seat in the pantheon of great musical theatre writers through his unique gifting as both a sparkling lyricist and a sophisticated composer. His musicals, like Anything Goes and Kiss Me Kate, are packed with playful, witty songs that have become classics all on their own: "Let's Do It (Let's Fall in Love)", "I Get a Kick Out of You", "Begin the Beguine", "It's De-Lovely" and many others. So, come while away a springtime evening with us to the swinging melodies of one of our nation's premier Broadway bards.
The festivities are nestled in the elegant environs of the Kindred Oaks Estate, a beautiful hill country get-away, and topped with a mouthwatering meal by Chef Vikki Bowen. Food and drinks from the bar are included in the ticket price. Guests may also have their picture taken in the "photo pavilion"; toss rings to win their favorite bottle of wine; or float amid colorful items up for silent auction - including a seven night stay at one of seven breathtaking luxury resorts!
Long-time followers of the company may thrill to see performers from Penfold productions past, including Suzanne Balling, Andrew Cannata, Ryan Crowder, Sarah Marie Curry, Stephanie Delk, Taylor Flanagan, Nathan Ford, Nathan Jerkins, Julie Linnard, Paige McGhee, Lynn Mikeska, Megan Rabuse, Megan Sherrod and Emily Smith.
A Marvelous Party: Delovely is Penfold's eighth annual fundraising gala. Proceeds will launch its 2018-19 Season, which will be announced at the end of the night! Tickets are on sale through April 24th at penfoldtheatre.org.
