The Hill Country Community Theatre is pleased to announce that it has received assistance from PEC Community Grants in the amount of $1,000 to aid in the replacement of HCCT's aging air conditioners.
PEC Community Grants were established in 2010 after the Board of Directors adopted PEC's Community Giving Program Policy. The grants of up to $1,000 are awarded through an open and competitive application process to non-profit organizations within the PEC service territory. Emphasis is placed on capital improvement projects, technology and equipment needs related to energy efficiency and conservation.
The Hill Country Community Theatre is not funded by tax money and relies heavily on donations and ticket sales in order to maintain their facility.
"Keeping the theatre at a cool temperature is essential to the comfort of our audiences," says Mike Rademaekers executive director at HCCT. "Being able to see a show in a cool and comfortable venue keeps people coming back."
The Hill Country Community Theatre's mission is to present and promote quality theatre activities and programs that entertain, educate and encourage community participation in the support of performance and related cultural arts. Since 1985, the Hill Country Community Theatre has served the public as a showcase for extraordinary local talent. HCCT is one of the oldest continuously operating community theatres in Texas.
The Hill Country Community Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. For more, visit www.thehcct.org.
