Piece Of The Puzzle tells the story of Robert. A young man the week before his wedding. He struggles with the idea that married life will change him and not allow him to follow the career he is passionate about. With old friends and family in town for the wedding, he takes time to reconnect with high school buddies, relatives, and finds that the people closest to you will often hurt you the most. During the play, three actors will portray Robert and the different aspects of his personality. They will interchange between scenes and interact with other characters. At the end of the play we see how we all are made up of little pieces and that we all play a part in each other lives.
Oh Dragon Theatre Company was formed in 2012 and has produced six shows in the Austin area. This is their second time featuring an original work. Previous shows include Antigone, True West, The Flu Season, and last August's world premiere of Tango Through The Revolution.
Oh Dragon Theatre Company was founded in Summer 2012 by six individuals looking to start an Austin-based theatre company that was truly actor-centric. Since then, we have completed two full seasons consisting of six plays and over 30 performances. We are committed to spotlighting and developing exceptional performances and that goal drives us as we move forward and also makes us unique. Many theatre companies place special attention on impressive sets, costumes, props, and special effects, but our goal is much simpler. We encourage authenticity and emotion from each and every one of our actors that would be just as powerful on a blank stage as they would with extravagant sets. We hope to continue to entertain our audiences as well as branch out into the Austin community in the years to come.
