The Hill Country Community Theatre is now taking applications for admission for its Youth Summer Theatre Program. The program runs for two weeks, June 13 through June 24, Monday through Friday 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a final performance on June 24 at 6:00 PM. If accepted, the price of the program is $235 per student, ages 9 to 17.
A number of scholarships are available thanks to assistance from H-E-B's Tournament of Champions Charitable Trust, a special fund that receives its money from an annual golf tournament sponsored by H-E-B's vendor community.
The Youth Summer Theatre Program focuses on creativity, imagination and fun, and develops leadership and social skills through the powerful art of drama. HCCT's program teaches the fundamentals of acting, as well as how to be part of a theatre ensemble, for two weeks in the summer. The Youth Summer Theatre Program is designed for youths of all interests and talents-not just the performer. Students explore theatre from every angle-performance, design and production. The program culminates in a performance on the Hill Country Community Theatre stage for friends and family.
For an application, call the theatre at (830) 693-2474, or email director@theHCCT.org.
