This September and October, the Hideout Theatre is creating a personal show. So personal, it will connect to every audience member, because it will be about the audience. Every Saturday night at 8 p.m. in September and every Friday and Saturday through October 19 at 8 p.m., The Hideout Theatre presents Austin Secrets for the fourth year in a row. Tickets costs $12. Tickets and more information are available online at www.hideouttheatre.com or by phone at (512) H-I-D-E-O-U-T. The Hideout Theatre is located at 617 Congress Ave.

In projects like PostSecret, Mortified, Found Magazine, StoryCorps, and This American Life, real stories of real people are reflected back to the audience is creative ways. Each of these projects showcase the power of everyday lives.

That is the platform Austin Secrets begins on. In every show, the cast will use improvisation to explore secrets anonymously submitted by the audience. Serious secrets will be treated with proper respect, and more lighthearted secrets will be treated frivolously. Audiences can expect a mix of drama, comedy, and everything in between during each show. Audiences can submit secrets to www.hideouttheatre.com/send-us-your-secrets

The 2013 cast includes Aaron Saenz, Alex Dobrenko, Bridget Brewer, Chuy Zarate, Courtney Hopkin, Halyn Lee Erickson, Jeanette Jones, John Ratliff, Jon Bolden, Kaci Beeler, Karen DeWitt, Marc Majcher and Michael Joplin. The directors are LiSa Jackson and Roy Janik.

"We offer a wide variety of shows at The Hideout, but this is the one I'm the most proud of," said Hideout Artistic Director Janik. "That's because when the stars are just right, the show becomes more than a show. It becomes an EVENT... a true experience that the audience and performers share together. There's nothing quite like it."
