HCCT Announces SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY: A Big Band Fundraiser  Image

The Hill Country Community Theatre will hold an event, "Sentimental Journey - A Big Band Fundraiser" for two performances only, Saturday, March 23 at 7:30 pm (doors open at 6:30) and Sunday, March 24 at 2:15 pm (doors open 1:15).

Hits from the big band era will be performed by The Skylarks with singers from the Hill Country Community Theatre Players and will feature such numbers as "I Get a Kick out of You," "Embraceable You," "My Funny Valentine," "Nice Work If You Can Get it," "Night and Day," "Summertime," "Something's Gotta Give," " Summer Wind," "Love Is Here to Stay," "They Can't Take That Away From Me," and many more.

Seth Smith and Paula Richards, who will also sing, will lead the Hill Country Community Theatre Players and be Masters of Ceremonies. Many talented singers, including Graham Avery, Kay Baker, Doug Hart, Randy L. Hilmer, Bob Schneider, Toni Souther, Sarah Spillman, and Abigail Storm, will perform.

All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Hill Country Community Theatre. "We rely on events like this to raise funds needed to serve the community and sustain our work," executive director Mike Rademaekers said. "HCCT has played a critical role in stimulating creativity in this community for 34 years. We hope to continue to have a crucial impact on learning, discovery, and achievement in the arts for another 34."

Enjoy complimentary wine, and hors d'oeuvres provided by Choccolatte's. Tickets are $50 per person or $90 per couple. Seating is limited, so please make your reservations early.
