From February 19-21 PHANTOM OF THE OPERA star Davis Gaines will perform with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for three concerts. Gaines will be replacing the Tony Award Winning Brian Stoke Mitchell, "whose scheduled performances have been cancelled due to illness," according to the Fort Worth Symphony website.
The concert, "Music of the Night: Broadway Show Stoppers" will take place at the Bass Performance Hall February 19 and 20 at 8 PM and February 21 at 2 PM. Ron Spigelman will conduct. The concert will include songs such as "Luck Be a Lady," "Ol' Man River," and "The Music of the Night."
Davis Gaines - received the Bay Area Critics Award for Best Actor for his performance as the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA. He was also chosen by Hal Prince and Lloyd Webber to play the leading role in the world premiere of WHITLE DOWN THE WIND. His other Broadway and National Tour credits include Raoul in THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Cornelius Hackl in HELLO, DOLLY! with Carol Channing and CAMELOT with Richard Burton.
