Different Stages Presents YANKEE TAVERN By Steven Dietz Image

Different Stages continues its 2017 - 2018 season with Steven Dietz's Yankee Tavern. Just when you thought you'd heard every crazy 9/11 conspiracy theory, a guy walks into a bar and orders two beers, one for himself and one for his absent buddy. Yes, it sounds like the set-up for a joke, but with his chilling play, the prolific Steven Dietz has something darker and more sobering in mind. There, inside the walls of this crumbling New York tavern, a young couple find themselves caught up in what might be the biggest conspiracy of all.

Norman Blumensaadt (When We Are Married) directs Yankee Tavern. Playing the graduate student and his bride-to-be are Will Douglas (When We Are Married) and Kelsey Mazak (Into the Woods). Playing the conspiracy theorist is Bill Karnovsky (The Wizard of Oz). And playing a mysterious man is Greg Ginther (The Foreigner).

Performances are Thursdays through Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are: $15, $20, $25 Thursday and Wednesday, and $20, $25, $30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Sunday matinees are March 25 and April 8. There is no performance on Easter Sunday, April 1. Industry night performance is on Wednesday, April 11.
