David Mamet's scorching masterpiece of big money schemes GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS burns hot at City Theatre, running October 14 - November 6.

Enter the cut-throat world of real estate where it's all about closing the big deal as City Theatre begins the 11th season with the Pulitzer Prize-winning modern classic Glengarry Glen Ross. In a time of constant doubt about financial security, and at a crucial moment of government transition, David Mamet's stage play has never been more relevant. Get caught up in the action as a group of ruthless salesmen lie, cheat, and connive to move up in the world of sales. The rock-and-roll rhythm and sizzling language of this play provides an up-close and personal lesson in the struggle to survive in a business world where the only goal is the top prize.

Lie. Cheat. Steal...all in a day's work.

Glengarry Glen Ross is a mix of biting humor and emotional fury where real estate salesmen vie for the top sales prize in a savage contest of deception and betrayal. Roma is in the lead for the monthly sales award - a new Cadillac - while former top salesman Shelly Levene is riding a streak of bad luck. They rely on Williamson to give them hot leads, but he ruthlessly pits the veteran salesmen against each other. As the cruel battle of wit ensues, the play offers a hard-hitting, darkly comic story of betrayal and a still-relevant analysis of our shifting American values. Filled with shocking twists and turns, this cold-blooded drama is guaranteed to keep audiences breathless and on The Edge of their seats. The play won the 1984 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and received four Tony Awards that year. It's a must-see American stage play!
