Multi-platinum rock band Daughtry will debut its new single "Outta My Head" during the March 15 episode of Fox's American Idol. It is the third single off of the band's third album, Break The Spell, and the follow-up to the album's previous chart-climbing songs "Crawling Back To You" and "Renegade."
Daughtry is also announcing a second round of dates for its "Break The Spell 2012 Tour," which kicks off March 20 in Buffalo, NY and continues through May 1st in New York, NY. Shortly after, the band will begin the second leg of its intimate theater tour, starting on May 10 in Indianapolis, IN and wrapping on June 13 in Austin, TX. Tickets for the second of the tour go on sale this Friday at 10am at Daughtryofficial.com and AEGLive.com. For all dates of the tour, the band will help combat Africa's battle against malaria by donating $1 from every ticket sold to Malaria No More, a leading humanitarian organization determined to end malaria deaths in Africa by 2015.
The tour comes to Bass Concert Hall on Wednesday, June 13. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 2 at 10:00 a.m. at authorized ticket outlets, which include the Bass Concert Hall Box Office, most H-E-B stores and all Texas Box Office outlets, online at TexasPerformingArts.org, or by calling (512) 477-6060 or (800) 982-BEVO.
Daughtry welcomes special guest Nashville-based pop rock group SafetySuit whose new album These Times debuted No. 7 on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Opening the show is singer-songwriter Mike Sanchez.
"Just a few more weeks in rehearsal and then we finally get to deliver Break The Spell live to our fans," says singer Chris Daughtry.
Daughtry's latest album Break The Spell, which was certified gold within four weeks of its release, builds on the band's reputation for melodic hooks and anthemic choruses while providing a powerful showcase for Chris Daughtry's emotionally resonant voice. Over the past five years, Daughtry has scored four No. 1 hits, garnered four Grammy nominations, sold over seven million albums and played sold out concerts around the world. Daughtry's self-titled debut was the fastest selling rock debut in Soundscan history and its follow-up Leave This Town marked the quintet's second consecutive No. 1 album.
