Join Jaston Williams (of Tuna, Texas fame) and Lauren Lane (veteran actress from TV's "The Nanny") as they bring to life a bevy of colorful, quirky and endearing American characters in multiple short scenes, including a pacifist from Texas who bonds with a gun-toting grandma, an elderly Grande Dame and world traveler who has a history of sinking gondolas, an Anglo man who longs to be Hispanic, married to a Hispanic woman who wants to be Anglo and the most unlikely couple to ever dance the cotton-eyed Joe!

Jaston Williams:
Jaston Williams is known nationally as the co-author, co-star and producer of the four award-winning plays in the Greater Tuna cycle. His performances have played on and off Broadway at the Kennedy Center, the Edinburgh International Arts Festival, the Spoleto Festival U.S.A. and all over America. Jaston received the L.A. Dramalogue Award for both Greater Tuna and A Tuna Christmas. A Tuna Christmas was published in "Best Plays of 1995." For several years, he toured in
Larry Shue's The Foreigner. He performed in The Fantasticks and directed the musical Bad Girls Upset By The Truth. Jaston received the Texas Governor's Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts by a Native Texan and has performed at the White House on three occasions. He has appeared at Austin's State Theatre in
Eugene Ionesco's The Chairs and at
Zachary Scott Theatre in Jay Preston Allen's Tru, for which he received the Austin Critics Table Award for Best Actor in a drama. He has also appeared at the
Zachary Scott Theatre in The Laramie Project and Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Jaston's autobiographical play, I'm Not Lying, was the first of his five solo shows, all receiving critical acclaim in performances across the country. ABOUT Lauren Lane:
Lauren Lane's career spans stage, film, television and academia. For six seasons she played C.C. Babcock on the television show, THE NANNY. She also played the female lead, Chris Novak, on the detective show, HUNTER as well as a recurring role on L.A. LAW. She has worked regionally at The Kennedy Center, Actors Theatre of Louisville,
Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The
Mark Taper Forum,
The American Conservatory Theatre and The
Dallas Theatre Center among others. She worked for five years as a company member in
Tim Robbins' award winning Los Angeles based Theatre Company; THE ACTORS GANG, where she won a Drama-Logue award for her work in Electra directed by
Oskar Eustis. Lauren makes her home in Austin Texas where she was honored to be named "A Theatrical Wonder" by the Austin Chronicle and one of the top-ten 'theatrical events' of 2012. She was awarded both the Austin Critics Circle Award for Best Actress and the B.

The American Conservatory Theatre. She is currently Head of Acting at Texas State University and proud to have former students currently working on Broadway, off Broadway, in Film and Television and regional theatres all over the country, Lauren is thrilled to be a part of building a new generation of artists graduating from the performance programs at Texas State University. She is proud to balance life as a working Mother, and her favorite job has been mom to Kate.
