BLiPSWiTCH presents their second evening length performance by bringing contemporary dance together with the sounds of a live instrumental jazz quartet, led by pianist Red Young. The local Austin based dance collaborative will be performing at KC Grey Home December 13-16, 2017 at 8pm.

Since the company's founding in 2015, BLiPSWiTCH strives to involve artists of various mediums to create interesting, original performances in avant garde spaces. Shoestring will involve live jazz musicians, and will create a performance space out of a furniture warehouse.

Shoestring is an exploration of contemporary dance in collaboration with a live instrumental jazz quartet, led by pianist Red Young. Each night will feature a rotating cast of musicians alongside seven dancers. The work will feature choreography by Taryn Lavery, Alex Miller, and Lucy Wilson exploring the complex textures of the jazz genre, while leaving moments for the artists to expand into improvisation for in-the-moment conversations between the dancers and musicians.

BLiPSWiTCH's Shoestring features the talents of dancers Lisa del Rosario, Hailley Laurèn, Taryn Lavery, Alex Miller, Clay Moore, Wendy Rucci, Lucy Wilson.
