“Jeepers Creepers.” “Summer Wind.” “Moon River.” “Hooray for Hollywood.” Everyone knows the lyrics to these songs, among more than 1,400 penned by Georgia native Johnny Mercer, winner of four Academy Awards (from 18 nominations). Hard-bop trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden and special guest Robin Latimore join the Georgia State University Jazz Band to “Ac-Cent-Tchu-Ate the Positive” and pay tribute to Mercer’s incomparable legacy.
