Rome Little Theatre’s production of Clue will run October 6-15, 2023 at the DeSoto Theater.
Based on the iconic 1985 Paramount movie which was inspired by the classic Hasbro board game, Clue is a hilarious farce-meets-murder mystery. The tale begins at a remote mansion. Six mysterious guests assemble for an unusual dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. When their host turns up dead, they all become suspects. Led by Wadsworth – the butler, Miss Scarlet, Professor Plum, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock and Colonel Mustard race to find the killer as the body count stacks up. Clue is the comedy whodunit that will leave both cult-fans and newcomers in stitches as they try to figure out…WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT!
The second production of its 90th birthday season, Rome Little Theatre invites the public to play along, as the cast and production team bring these iconic characters and game to life. Clue is directed by RLT’s Chris Parker and includes cast members James Swendsen, Rick Williams, Ryan Baswell, Logan Yerbey, Michael Hillman, Olafemi Hunter, Julie McCluskey, Allison Clark, Abbie Yerbey, Mary Asbury and Lindsey Chambers.
“This play is based on one of my absolute favorite films of all time. To have the chance to bring it to the stage with this cast and this production team is a gift. I think audiences will be surprised by what we do with it”, said Parker.
The show runs Friday and Saturdays at 7:30 pm and Sundays at 2:30 pm.
