This action packed and buoyant production, presented by the Legacy Theatre (www.thelegacytheatre.org) in Tyrone, GA beginning July 10th through August 2nd, brings Disney's smash hit sequel to High School Musical to life on stage. Audiences will be thrilled as they join Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay and all their friends from East High as they blast onto the summer scene and follow them all the way to the Lava Springs Country Club where Sharpay exercises her designer sensibility while the rest of the Wildcats get to work, literally!

This exciting production of HSM2 includes a talented cast of 24 professional actors who were selected through a wide range of auditions across the country and is choreographed by Legacy's Bethany Hayes-Smith. The music and dance numbers are energetic and include a wide range of styles from rock, beach, swing, gospel and hip hop. But don't think if you know the movie you have seen it all as the stage production includes additional music and stories to make the experience unique. The HSM2 cast includes a number of familiar faces from Legacy's previous production of High School Musical (including Haley Godwin as Gabriella, Courtney Godwin as Sharpay and Chase Todd as Ryan), but also features some new faces, as well as a component made up of local youth who are participating in weekly camps that culminate in a pre-show performance of numbers from High School Musical 3. Spots are still available for any local youth interested in attending the July 20th camp and more information can be gathered by calling the theater 404-895-1473 or checking out www.thelegacytheatre.org.

Performance dates for Disney's High School Musical 2 are Tuesday through Saturday nights, July 10 - Aug. 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday matinees at 3 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors or students and $15 for children ages 12 and under. For tickets call 404-895-1473 or visit www.thelegacytheatre.org.

The Legacy Theatre's Mission is "To provide theatre of unprecedented excellence to the South Metro Atlanta community, while inspiring and educating budding theatre artists in a compassionate and non-discriminating atmosphere, as well as nourishing present and future theatre-goers."
