Atlanta Opera Chorus Master, Walter Huff, will join the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music's faculty as Adjunct Associate Professor of Music (choral conducting) this fall. Along with his responsibilities at the Jacobs School, Huff will continue his duties as Atlanta Opera Chorus Master. Mr. Huff has been Chorus Master for The Atlanta Opera since 1988, and has prepared the chorus in more than 80 productions which have received critical acclaim in the United States and abroad.

This position will be one of the first of its kind in the country, and is designed to prepare and guide students in each opera production's ensemble, and mentor certain conducting students in the specialized art form of opera chorus mastering. This position will take one step more toward the vision of elevating and perpetuating the art of an opera chorus.
