Violinist Gil Shaham To Perform with Atlanta Symphony in April

Music Director Robert Spano will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra  April 12 and 14, 2012, at 8:00 p.m., and April 15 at 3:00 p.m. Guest violinist Gil Shaham will perform Bach's Concerto in E Major and Stravinsky's Violin Concerto.

Soprano Ailyn Pérez will make her Atlanta Symphony Orchestra debut with Poulenc's Gloria with the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Chorus. The program will also include Bach's Sinfonia to Cantata No. 29 and the Atlanta Symphony premiere of Cantata No. 50. The performances will take place in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Mr. Shaham, who made his Atlanta Symphony debut in 1991, is a frequent guest of the Orchestra. These performances will mark Mr. Shaham's eighth appearance with the Atlanta Symphony.
