The 14th Street Playhouse has a number of events coming up at the end of the month and throughout March including THIS THING CALLED DANCE and PUNCHLINE PRESENTS... Jeff Garlin.
On February 20 and 21 the 14th Street Playhouse presents THIS THING CALLED DANCE. In preparation for their first show together, a class of young dancers endures mastering different styles in a short amount of time. They must overcome individual trials and insecurities, and eccentric choreographer and an antagonistic new performer that threatens to tear them apart and cancel the show.
There will be two performances on Saturday the 20th, one at 3 PM and one at 8 PM and one performance on Sunday the 21st at 3 PM. THIS THING CALLED DANCE will perform on Stage 2 and tickets will cost between $15 and $20.
From March 5 through 6 SEASONS OF LOVE will take the stage. CHRIS Kids Seasons of Love VII is the largest variety cabaret show in the Southeast. Professional singers, dancers, instrumentalists, and backstage crew create an incredible production filled with the best talent in song and dance. The theme is "first love," featuring the songs of the 60's and 70's and all tickets/sponsorships benefit children, youth and families of CHRIS Kids.
On both days the performance will be at 8 PM and tickets will cost between $20 and $40.
On March 12 at 8 PM Legacy Theatre will feature PUNCHLINE PRESENTS...

Jeff Garlin is the star on the hit show "Curb Your Enthusiasm." As a noted author and comedian, hi show is hilariously funny and critically acclaimed. Tickets will cost $35.
BLACK MAN-O-LOGUES II will take to stage 3 on March 20 and 21. What constitutes love? How does it look? How does it feel? Does love hurt? Is it always warm and cozy? There are enumerable perspectives on black love. There is the love that a parent exhibits when raising a child; the love that separates reality and fantasy; love of self-identity; love of brotherhood etc., etc. "What runs through the head of a black man when he is confronted with the subject, Love. Black Man-O-logues offers answers to the question of "How Does a Blackman Express Love"? In this piece, ten diverse characters offer a montage of experiences and perspectives on black love."
The production will perform Saturday March 20 at 4 PM and 8 PM and on Sunday March 21 at 4 PM. Tickets will cost $30.
The last performance in March will be CHOICES on March 26 and 27. CHOICES is a drama based on the decisions and directions we must take as we walk through the journey of life. We are all faced with choices, and the decision we make behind those choices impact our lives and touch the lives of those around us.
CHOICES tickets will cost $25 and will be performed on Stage 2.
