Tickets for the Alliance Theatre's 2015/16 season are on sale today. The 47th season includes five world premieres, stirring musicals, a Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, a literary classic, and exceptional productions for youth and families.

The 2015/16 Alliance Stage season will begin on September 2 with One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, the powerful American drama exploring the beauty and danger of being a free spirit in a closed system. This production will be directed by Susan V. Booth and brought to life by a large (16 people), all-star Atlanta cast, including Thomas Neal Antwon Ghant as Randle Patrick McMurphy and Tess Malis Kincaid as Nurse Ratched, as well as David de Vries, Chris Kayser, Richard Garner and many more.

The Hertz season will open on September 18 with A Steady Rain, an edge-of-your-seat thriller about two Chicago cops who push their moral boundaries to the breaking point. A Steady Rain received its world premiere in Chicago where it was awarded Joseph Jefferson Awards for Best New Work and Best Production in 2008. It made its Broadway debut in 2009 with Hugh Jackman and Daniel Craig in the leading roles. The Alliance production will be directed by Jeff Perry, who currently stars as Cyrus Beene on the ABC drama, Scandal. The Alliance production will star Thomas Vincent Kelly (Alliance: Good People) and Sal Viscuso (Portland Center Stage: Clybourne Park).

Tickets are also on sale today for all Youth and Family productions, including the Alliance's 26th production of A Christmas Carol starring David de Vries as Ebenezer Scrooge and Chris Kayser as Jacob Marley. Parents of very little children can purchase tickets to any of the four Theatre for the Very Young productions, designed for babies who are newborn through 5 years old.
