Third Atlanta STEAMFest Held At Academy Theatre

A splendid time is guaranteed for all at the Third Atlanta STEAMFest happening the afternoon and evening of April 9 & 10 at the Academy Theatre. This year's festival will feature such diverse talents as: Thimblerig Circus, The Atlanta Radio Theatre Company, Platinum Championship Wrestling, and musical group The Prestige. Workshops range from Fiona Leonard's consummate costuming expertise to Lyre Calliope's insights into the FUTURE. WTF (Wilco Tango Foxtrot) will present an MST3K style commentary on Journey to the Center of the Earth.

Come in costume; come in street clothes; come to STEAMfest 2011. Musicians, bring your acoustic instruments and your voices and get ready to jam with period
music, from the stately to the slightly unruly (scores provided). Chess nuts will have the chance to enter an open chess tournament for a mystery prize.
Vendors range from Costumes, Etc. to an ice cream truck. Festivities begin at 4:00 p. m. and escalate until 11:30 p. m. on Saturday, April 9 and 9:00 p. m. on
