Legacy Theatre's mainstage production BABY, with a book written by Sybille Pearson, music by David Shire, and lyrics by Richard Maltby, Jr. BABY will close May 2, 2010.

BABY tells the story of three couples on a university campus as they deal with the painful, rewarding and agonizingly funny consequences of this universal experience. There are the college students, barely at the beginning of their adult lives; the thirty-somethings, having trouble conceiving but determined to try; and the middle aged parents, looking forward to seeing their last child graduate from college when a night of unexpected passion lands them back where they started.

Miss Nelson, the beloved teacher of Room 207, is missing and her unruly kids must face the wrath of the worst substitute teacher ever, Miss Viola Swamp. In the end Miss Nelson's class will learn powerful lessons about respect and appreciation. Come see why this hilarious show has been called "just about perfect as a comedy-musical for school-age children."

This production is recommended for grades pre-K and up.

Next will be the mainstage production of ANNIE playing from July 9 through August 1, 2010 with book by Thomas Meehan, Music by Charles Strouse, and lyrics by Martin Charnin. This production will conclude the 2009-2010 season.

The popular comic strip heroine takes center stage at The Legacy in one of the world's best-loved musicals.
