Beloved children's book Dr. Seuss's The Cat in the Hat is Aurora Learning Library's winter show that will be performed weekday mornings as a field trip for over 7,000 elementary school students. Based on the high level of interest from teachers and parents, Aurora Theatre is adding two evening performances for families to enjoy this children's classic live on stage. On Tuesday, January 28 and Monday, February 10 at 6:00pm, families will have two chances to see the fully produced stage version of The Cat in the Hat, the play originally produced by The National Theatre of Great Britain. From the moment his tall, red-and-white-striped hat appears around the door, Sally and her brother know that The Cat in the Hat is the funniest, most mischievous cat they have ever met. With the trickiest of tricks and craziest of ideas, he is certainly fun to play with. And he turns a rainy afternoon into an amazing adventure. But what will Mom find when she gets home...?

The play is directed by Jaclyn Hofmann, Aurora Theatre Director of Education and features a cast of eight actors and puppeteers including Bryan Brendle (The Book Club Play - Horizon Theatre, Gray Area - Aurora Theatre) as the Cat in the Hat.

The show will be on the Mainstage at Aurora Theatre and tickets are available for only $10. These performances are in addition to the Aurora Children's Playhouse performances in the morning on January 25.

Added performances include Tuesday, January 28 and Monday, February 10 at 6:00pm.

Tickets $10. For reservations: 678.226.6222, or buy online: http://tickets.auroratheatre.com/single/PSDetail.aspx?psn=70667.
