*STREET CAR CONSTRUCTION: The best route to the theatre avoiding streetcar construction is to take Marietta Street to Cone Street. Turn on Cone (there's only one way to turn onto Cone, regardless of the direction from whence you came). We suggest parking at LAZ Parking deck on the corner of Cone and Luckie Streets via the Cone Street entrance. Parking vouchers to that LAZ deck are available for purchase at the box office for $4 cash. To avoid all issues... take MARTA! Peachtree Center Station is closest, Five Points is next closest.
ABOUT THE BEST OF ENEMIES: Inspired by Osha Gray Davidson's book of the same name and based on a true story, Mark St. Germain's new drama, The Best of Enemies reveals a universal truth: all of us, no matter our differences, are capable of change. It is a story of triumph and hope, and a real life example of love's winning over fear.
Elisabeth Omilami is Ann Atwater, a fearless, grass-roots civil rights activist. Bruce Evers is C.P. Ellis, an outspoken exalted cyclops of a klan chapter. The two meet when Bill Riddick, a federal mediator played by Enoch King, is sent by the Department of Education to oversee court-ordered desegregation. Riddick is charged with putting together a steering committee that represents the community's various viewpoints: C.P. and Ann agree to serve on the committee. LaLa Cochran portrays Mary Ellis, C.P.'s wife. Amidst their incendiary words of prejudice and fear, Ann and C.P. forge an alliance based in respect and trust - and score a victory for civil rights - in this honest-to-goodness, modern-day parable of transformation.
