Aurora Theatre continues our crowd pleasing concert series, Swing Night at Aurora Theatre featuring the Metro Jazz Club, with a tribute to old blue eyes, Frank Sinatra, on Saturday September 12 at 8:00 PM. The Metro Jazz Club is a smokin'-hot 17 piece band accompanied by a sultry chanteuse, the magnificent Maxine Cummins. For this concert, they will be joined by the incomparable Steve Vecchi. He has appeared as the opening act for recording artists, B.B. King, Spryo Gyra, Connie Stevens and been featured at Disney World's Epcot Center. That is just a small sample of his body of work; Mr. Vecchi has been devoted to performing the work of all the great crooners, especially Frank Sinatra.

Your hostess for the evening will be Aurora Theatre Associate Producer Ann-Carol Pence. The concert will also feature Glenn Rainey who appeared on Broadway for seven years in Disney's Beauty and the Beast. Aurora audiences will remember him as the lovable gangster in Kiss, Me Kate.

Anthony Rodriguez, Aurora Theatre Producing Artistic Director, "A few of our previous swing concerts included songs closely associated with Sinatra, which I really enjoyed. By reconnecting with that music, and seeing the ALLIANCE THEATRE opening their season with Twyla Tharp's Come Fly with Me, there is a great resurgence of music from this era. The Metro Jazz Club's newfound association with Frank Sinatra aficionado Steve Vecchi is another great reason for a concert in Frank's honor."

"You only live once, and the way I live, once is enough." - Frank Sinatra
