TEACHERS: THE MUSICAL by Robin Seidman and David Reeb will play 3 weekends at the Southside Theatre Guild from February 18 through March 6. Performances will be on February 18, 19, 20, February 25, 26, 27, 28, and March 4, 5, 6. All performances will begin at 8 PM, except the February 28 matinee which will be performed at 2 PM.

A retiree wannabe discovers her new teaching partner has only taught cats and her new student, Sammy, (aka Satan Spawn) has her own ideas about education. This musical comedy is about "tested" teachers who discover what they have might not be what they want. These tales from the teacher's lounge are for everyone who has ever had the "Monday Morning Blues" and for all teachers desperate to set the world on fire... before their students do it for them.

The production will be directed by Debbie Lewis with Music Direction by Jerry Mathis and Choreography by Monique Hache-Barrett.

The cast features Marti Cartrett as Belle Tobbins, Maureen McDaniel as Chrissy Collins, Lauran Wilkerson as Doris Gross, Tommy McDaniel as Principal Larry Sludge, Truman Griffin as Steven Higgs, Alexia Barrett as Sammy, and Jim Abert as Janitor. Other cast members include Nick Anderson, Scott Brook, Linda Cochran, Mary Katherine Culver, Amanda Failoo, Allison Kuras, and Alexis Wharton.

TEACHERS: THE MUSICAL is suggested for more mature audiences because, "What happens in the teacher's lounge stays in the teacher's Lounge."

Upcoming Southside Theatre Guild Productions include Agatha Christie's THE MOUSETRAP and Tom Sawyer.

Single ticket prices are as follows are $15 for adults and $12 for children under the age of 12. Thursdays are discount night and all tickets are $12.
