Serenbe Playhouse, recipient of the prestigious American Theatre Wing grant (2015), and having recently produced the most Suzi Bass Award-decorated show of the 2015- 16 season, Miss Saigon, is excited to announce Season 8: A Season of Rebellion. The season includes a spring production of Grease, by Jim Jacobs and WarRen Casey; and in the summer, a new adaptation of Robin Hood, by Rachel Teagle; Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, and musical theatre favorite, Cabaret, by Joe Masteroff and John Kander and Fred Ebb. A reimagined Sleepy Hollow, adapted by Brian Clowdus, and perennial favorite, The Snow Queen, an adaptation by Rachel Teagle, will round out the calendar year.

Season tickets and single tickets will be on sale soon online at www.serenbeplayhouse.com (any time); and by phone at 770-463- 1110 (Monday-Saturday, noon until 6pm). The Playhouse administrative offices are located at 9110 Selborne Lane, #210, Chattahoochee Hills GA, 30268.

ABOUT SEASON 8: A SEASON OF REBELLION

The company's spring show, Grease, will be staged as a vintage drive-in with a fresh, sexy, modern vibe. Summer days bring the family show, Robin Hood, in which The Playhouse will take to the air and lead patrons in an immersive zip-line experience as our hero robs from the rich and gives to the poor. In the summer evenings, the company will embrace the most ruthless rebel of all, Macbeth, staged within rocks and water deep in the Serenbe woods, reminiscent of the landscape of Scotland. And Serenbe Playhouse's summer musical, fresh off the Broadway revival and tour, will take patrons to the seedy underground "Kit Kat Club" where Brian Clowdus will step into the role of the Emcee in Cabaret. The company will again present fall and winter favorites, The Sleepy Hollow Experience, with a fresh script adaptation by Clowdus; and The Snow Queen to ring in the holidays next year.

"This has been an incredible, record-breaking season, and in thinking of how we could top it, I realized we just couldn't-so, instead we will REBEL!" says Founder and Executive Artistic Director, Brian Clowdus.

"We've picked titles and environments that embrace the energy and essence of Rebellion! This is a season near and dear to my rebellious heart, and one that promises a variety of laughs, tears, and gasps fit for everyone from a Pink Lady to Sally Bowles. It will be our boldest season yet... it's time to REBEL!"
