The Center for Puppetry Arts invites families to take off to The North Pole when Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer returns to the stage for another holly jolly holiday season. The beloved tale has become a holiday tradition for families in Atlanta and a trip down memory lane for the kids at heart. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer flies back to the Center, November 13-December 30 and will be staged in the Mainstage Theater. A faithful adaptation of the classic 1964 stop-motion animated television special, the production was adapted for the puppet stage by Jon Ludwig and is directed by Tim Sweeney.

Guests will delight in familiar holiday tunes as Santa's workshop, the Island of Misfit Toys and The North Pole come to life alongside rod and body puppets designed by the Center's Resident Puppet Builder Jason Hines and constructed by the Center's team of puppet builders. Dolph Amick, Maggie Birgel, Nikolas Carleo, Brian Harrison, Kristin Storla and Anna Williford round out the talented cast of puppeteers.

Sam the Snowman will once again narrate the beloved tale of unlikely friendship formed among Rudolph, Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius and all of the magnificent misfit toys. While narrowly escaping the grips of Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster and braving perilous blizzards, their journey is sure to warm hearts as the friends learn the importance of being true to one's self and accepting others along the way. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is recommended for ages 4 and up.

All-inclusive tickets to all shows include entrance to the Create-A-Puppet Workshop, where guests can make and decorate their own Sam the Snowman Rod Puppet, as well as admission to the Worlds of Puppetry Museum.

On Sunday, December 2, Girl Scouts are invited to participate in a series of activities that will allow them to be eligible for all four STEM patches in a single day. Scouts will explore the science connections in the show; technology behind puppet performances; engineering used to design some of the puppets in the Worlds of Puppetry Museum exhibits; and the math skills utilized to build a puppet in a customized Create-A-Puppet Workshop. Activities will take place from noon to 3:30 p.m. Interested troops are encouraged to call the ticket office to be placed on the waitlist.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be presented in the Mainstage Theater, November 13-December 30, with no shows on November 22 or December 25. Reduced-price previews take place Tuesday, November 13 and Wednesday, November 14.
