Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre will launch its 2016 season with the Atlanta premiere of Johnna Adams' critically acclaimed play, Gidion's Knot, about a grieving mother and a primary school teacher in the midst of a deep parent/teacher conference. Directed by Hillary Heath, performances run March 3 to March 26, starring bold newcomer Vanessa Aranegui, and Monique Grant, who was recently mentioned as one of Atlanta's top actresses by Keely Herrick of Creative Loafing. Monique Grant also starred in Quiara Alegría Hudes' Pulitzer Prize winning play, Water by the Spoonful, at Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre last season.

This May, Pinch 'n' Ouch Theatre will also host Film for (a better) Future Festival, which invites filmmakers to create and share stories that drive change. Participants will join to celebrate the art of filmmaking, while supporting non-profit organizations that aid global and local causes.

The festival is now accepting submissions for feature films, shorts, and documentaries. A special category for Youth Short Films (K-12th grades) will be open for those who qualify. We encourage filmmakers to define "change" and to submit films that reflect their unique voice. Ultimately, we hope to educate, form discussions, and inspire audiences to participate in the bettering of the world we live in.

The company also offers a 12-week acting intensive for adults. These classes lay down the foundation for powerful, believable acting on stage and film.
