Produced by iTheatrics and sponsored by music theatre international and disney musicals, the junior theater festival is the biggest and best festival dedicated to young people and musical theatre. Check out photo highlights below!
Groups participate in interactive workshops lead by Broadway and West End professionals, meet celebrities, plus enjoy professional development, fellowship, and attend a world-class professional production. The 2015 Junior Theater Festival included Timothy Allen McDonald, founding chairman of iTheatrics and the Junior Theater Group, Megan Hilty, Lilla Crawford, Luca Padovan, Philip McAdoo, Thomas Schumacher, Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez ("Frozen") and Tony-nominated composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, along with surprise guest Darren Criss.
The Junior Theater Festival brings together people from all aspects of theater, ranging from students and teachers to Broadway professionals, under one roof to celebrate outstanding student musical theatre productions. The festival offers an enthusiastic environment for students and teachers to interact with thousands of others who share their passion for musical theater. Each group performs a selection from a Broadway Junior or KIDS Collection musical for professional adjudication by a distinguished panel of international theater professionals.
