Actor's Express kicks off the new year with Joshua Harmon's blistering comedy Bad Jews, running January 24 - February 22, 2015. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the stars below!
This savagely funny play, which was developed by Joshua Harmon during his National New Play Network playwriting residency at Actor's Express, was the most acclaimed comedy of the past New York theatre season.
"Helping give life to Bad Jews is one of the proudest achievements of AE's new play development efforts," says Actor's Express Artistic Director Freddie Ashley who will be directing its Atlanta premiere.
Daphna Feygenbaum is a "real Jew." Her cousin Liam is a self-described "bad Jew," complete with a shiksa girlfriend. When the two arrive in New York for their grandfather's funeral, they instantly lock horns in a savagely funny battle royale over a cherished family artifact.
Bad Jews stars Galen Crawley, Rachel DeJulio, Wyatt Fenner, Louis Gregory, Daphna Melody and Liam Jonah.
The creative team features Freddie Ashley, Kristina White, Kevin Frazier, Elizabeth Rassmusson, Joseph P. Monaghan, III, Elisabeth Cooper, Sheila Oliver, Emma Palmer, and A. Julian Verner.
Performances are Wednesday through Saturdays at 8 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Tickets are $26-$45 and may be purchased at actors-express.com or by calling 404.607.7469.
