Alliance's production of Winnie-the-Pooh has extended its run due to popular demand. Based on the children's stories by A. A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh comes to life with familiar characters and charming music in this family-friendly, one-act production, June 7 - July 15, 2018, in the Rich Theatre at the Woodruff Arts Center.

Join the beloved Pooh Bear and friends Piglet, Rabbit, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, and even Owl as one adventure turns into another. And another. And another! Through all the surprises, hilarity, and challenges, they discover that friendship is the greatest gift and simplicity a virtue beyond measure. Featuring a series of delightful songs, this play promises to remind you that "a little thought for others makes all the difference."

Winnie-the-Pooh is directed by former Alliance Yale Directing Fellow, Leora Morris (Crossing Delancey, The Dancing Granny). The creative team includes Set Designer Mariana Sanchez, Costume Designer Fabian Fidel Aguilar, Sound Designer Clay Benning, Lighting Designer Steven Love, Puppet Designer/Fabricator Scottie Rowell, and Music Director Dylan Frederick.

The cast for Winnie-the-Pooh features Grant Chapman as the loveable Pooh, Caleb Baumann as Christopher Robin, Mabel Tyler as Piglet, Isake Akanke as Rabbit/Owl Puppet, CJ Cooper as Roo, Maria Rodriguez-Sager as Kanga/Owl Puppet, and Joe Sykes as Eeyore/Owl Puppet.

Winnie-the-Pooh is produced in collaboration with the High Museum of Art's Winnie-the-Pooh: Exploring a Classic exhibition (June 3 - September 2) with more than 200 works including original illustrations, manuscripts, letters, photographs, and more. This collaboration is the High and the Alliance's fourth in a series of exhibition and theatre productions based on the work of children's book authors and artists.

Performances of Winnie-the-Pooh are June 7 - July 15, 2018, Tuesdays - Fridays, 10:00 a.m. & 11:45 a.m.; Saturdays 10:30 a.m. & 3:30 p.m.; and Sundays at 3:00 p.m. There are no 10:00 a.m. performances on Thursday, June 7, Friday, June 8, Friday, June 22, or Tuesday, July 3. There are no performances on July 4, July 10, or July 11. There is no 10:30 a.m. performance on Saturday, June 9, but an additional 1:00 p.m. performance on that date.
