Newnan Community Theatre Company will be hosting an amateur 42-hour film festival beginning Friday, June 4 and ending Sunday, June 6. Participating teams will have 42 hours to write, film, and edit a ten minute film. The film will then be publicly screened in the theatre's main stage auditorium.
Registration begins this Friday, June 4, at 7 pm. Teams will be able to form and recruit until registration ends that evening at 8 pm.
The film screening will be held on Sunday, June 6 at 3 pm at NCTC. Admission is $5. Each team will receive two free tickets to the screening. All films are to be family friendly (PG-13).
Awards and prizes will be given for the best film and for a variety of features like best editing. A panel of judges will grade each film. Each team will receive a judging form at registration.
Teams may pre-register by contacting the theatre at info@newnantheatre.org. The cost is $20 per team. Teams are limited to ten in cast and crew. Non-speaking extra team members are unlimited. Films are due Sunday, June 6 at 2 pm. Video themes will be announced at registration. A surprise element will also be announced at that time.
