Kennesaw State University's College of the Arts Department of Dance produced TEN, a celebration of ten years of the department, November 11-14, 2015. The six-piece performance highlighted the talents of the KSU Dance Company as well as the faculty of the dance department.
In the past ten years, Kennesaw State University has made a name for itself in the world of dance education. The department currently holds 100 dance majors and offers a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in ballet and modern. Ivan Pulinkala, the chairman of the Department of Dance, also announced at TEN that the department is also working on a Masters degree. The deparment prides itself with partnerships with Atlanta Ballet, gloATL, Cobb Energy Center, and Consulate of Israel in Atlanta.
TEN featured choreography by chairman Ivan Pulinkala, as well as, Ido Tadmor, Marius Petipa, Daniel Gwitzman, McCree O'Kelley, and Lisa A. Lock. The performance focused on pieces of contemporary and modern dance, as well as contemporary and classical ballet.
