Each year, costumes adorn Atlanta Symphony Hall as musicians and audience members wear their Halloween best to what has become one of the most popular family concerts of the season. Staff Conductor Jere Flint will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in "A Storybook Halloween" on Sunday, October 30, 2011, at 1:30 and 3:30 p.m. in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

The Halloween-themed concert experience will feature vocalist Wendy Bennett and Lee Harper & Dancers.

Family Concerts are an essential first step in introducing children to the lifelong pleasures of music. A stimulating and appealing mix of original and beloved children's tales, with visual humor and award-winning dancers and actors, the series is an elixir for young minds. Other programs in the Orchestra's 2011-2012 Family Concert Series include "The Fabled Cinderella" with the Enchantment Theatre Company on February 12, 2012; and The Remarkable Farkle McBride - a unique collaboration with the ALLIANCE THEATRE - on April 29, 2012. Mr. Flint will also conduct the Atlanta Symphony Youth Orchestra for the annual Atlanta Symphony Orchestra Kid's Christmas Concert on December 4 and 11, 2011.
