Jennifer Holliday, Paula Madison, et al. Honored at Women Superstars Luncheon

Leading women in the film and television industry will be honored at the BronzeLens Film Festival (BronzeLens) signature Women Superstars Luncheon. Honorees include retired media executive Paula Madison who will receive the Legendary Behind the Lens Superstar Award. Madison is the first person to hold the position of Senior Vice President of diversity at NBCUniversal, majority owner in the Los Angeles Sparks women's professional basketball team and the largest investor in the Africa Channel.

This year at the Women Superstars Luncheon the original "Dream Girls" will be honored. The Visionary Superstar Award will be presented to celebrated actress, singer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Sheryl Lee Ralph who is known for her work generating awareness and resources for HIV/AIDS. Ralph's fellow original "Dream Girl" actress and two-time Grammy Award-winning recording artist Jennifer Holliday will receive the Ultimate Superstar Award. The Trailblazer Superstar Award will be given to Loretta Devine star of stage, film, television and known for her versatility in playing a wide range of roles.

Hong Kong Oscar winner, star of BronzeLens feature screening of "Shanghai Hotel" and daughter of martial arts legend Pei-pei Cheng, Eugenia Yuan will receive the Emerging Superstar Award. Also two Atlanta based actresses will receive top honors at the Women Superstars Luncheon. Actress, choreographer and director Jasmine Guy will be given the Legendary Superstar Award and the Rising Superstar Award will go to actress Ziah Colon who recently starred in the film remake of Footloose.

The Women Superstars Luncheon will be held on Saturday from noon until 2:00 pm, November 12, 2011, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis Atrium Ballroom, 265 Peachtree Center Avenue, Atlanta, GA. The BronzeLens Film Festival of Atlanta, Georgia is a non-profit organization, founded in 2009 that is dedicated to bringing national and worldwide attention to Atlanta as a center for film and film production for people of color. Its mission is two-fold: to promote Atlanta as the new film mecca for people of color; and to showcase films and provide networking opportunities that will develop the next generation of filmmakers.
