Steaming up the Horizon Theatre stage this spring is the Atlanta premiere of Sex with Strangers, created by House of Cards writer Laura Eason, an up-to-the-minute play about intimacy and ambition that is sweeping the country. When successful bad boy blogger Ethan tracks down his idol, the gifted but unrecognized novelist Olivia, he finds they each crave what the other possesses. Snowbound in a secluded cabin for a weekend, attraction turns to sex, and they both inch closer to getting what they want. As their literary futures become intimately intertwined, both must confront the complications of reinventing oneself when the past is only a click away. This sensuous and provocative play about fame, cyber identity, and big ambition asks: what would you do, and who would you become, to get what you want?

"Cyber vs. real identity is at the core of the very contemporary story of love and ambition. Expect a fiery emotional and intellectual ride in our intimate space with plenty of heat between these two talented, charismatic actors and Eason's crackling writing," says Co-Artistic Director Lisa Adler.

Performances are Wed., Thurs. and Fri. at 8 PM, Sat. at 3 PM and 8:30 PM, and Sun. at 5 PM at Horizon Theatre in Little Five Points/Inman Park (1083 Austin Avenue NE Atlanta, GA 30307). There will be an 11am matinee on Thursday April 28, no matinee on Saturdays April 2 and April 30, and the Sunday, May 1 performance will begin at 8:00pm to accommodate the Inman Park Festival. This play is recommended for adults; there are adult situations and strong language. Tickets, starting at $25, and information are available at www.horizontheatre.com or 404.584.7450.
