Georgia Shakespeare honors Atlanta arts advocates Bob and Margaret Reiser with the inaugural Spirit of Will Award which will be presented at the theatre's annual fundraiser Bard's Bash 2009: A Mad Hatter Gala, Saturday, May 30 at 6:30 p.m. at the Conant Performing Arts Center (4484 Peachtree Rd. NE, Atlanta, GA 30319). Tickets to the event are $150 each and all proceeds benefit Georgia Shakespeare's educational programs, including the upcoming production Alice in Wonderland.

"The Spirit of Will Award honors individuals who have made significant contributions to both Georgia Shakespeare and the Atlanta arts community as a whole," said Producing Artistic Director Richard Garner. "From the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to the Botanical Gardens to the ALLIANCE THEATRE and Georgia Shakespeare, the Reiser name is synonymous with support, encouragement, and enthusiasm for the arts. Bob and Margaret are true believers of the impact the arts have on our everyday lives as well as the power the arts can have on an individual, a school, or a city. On behalf of the artists, staff, and Board of Trustees of Georgia Shakespeare, we are honored to be presenting Bob and Margaret Reiser with our first Spirit of Will Award."
