Set in turn of the century Oklahoma, against a backdrop of the high-spirited rivalry between local farmers and cowboys, Oklahoma! is the cherished love story of Curly, a handsome cowboy, and Laurey, a winsome farm girl. Featuring such favorite numbers as "People Will Say We're In Love", "Oh What A Beautiful Mornin' ", and "Surrey With A Fringe On Top", this landmark musical is a true treasure of the musical stage.

Lynn Riggs, Oklahoma premiered on Broadway at the
St. James Theatre in 1943. Running a marathon 2212 performances, it became the first real phenomena in Broadway history. Subsequently, the first National tour criss-crossed the USA for over 10 years, playing to an audience in excess of 10 million people. The 1955 film version garnered two Oscars. This groundbreaking musical has enjoyed a multitude of revivals and maintains its status as one of the most beloved shows in theatre history.
The 2010 tour is being executive produced by Moonglow Productions and managed by Theatre Management Associates. This all new production of the endearing classic is appearing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre thru Sunday, January 9, 2011. Oklahoma is "the great American musical (New York Times).
