Georgia Ensemble Theatre (GET), North Fulton's only professional theatre company, is excited to announce a unique partnership with the Chattahoochee Nature Center that will bring back the wildly popular GET production of Almost Heaven, John Denver's America for a very limited run. Performances will run Thursdays through Saturdays from tonight, July 23rd, through August 8th of 2015 at the Chattahoochee Nature Center's Ben Brady Pavilion, 9135 Willeo Rd., Roswell, GA 30075.

Almost Heaven, John Denver's America debuted at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre in the Fall of 2013, and proved to be the best selling season opener in the Theatre's history. Under the direction of GET Artistic Director Robert J. Farley, and featuring the original GET cast of extraordinarily talented actor/musicians, the musical celebrates the work of America's beloved open-hearted troubadour, John Denver. His songs make up much of the soundscape of the 60s and 70s, with their honesty, passion, and love of nature and mankind. Featured songs include "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," and many more.

Now Georgia Ensemble Theatre partners with the Chattahoochee Nature Center in remounting a concert version of this popular show in the beautiful outdoor venue which perfectly celebrates Denver's love of all things nature. In addition to the show, audience members will have the opportunity to enjoy all of the amenities of the Nature Center, bring a picnic to dine on site, or order from a catered menu from Talk of the Town with meals available for pickup at the event. There will also be a cash bar available before and during the show. Patrons may reserve seating either at a table under the Pavilion, or enjoy lawn seating under the stars. The Center will open at 6:30pm on performance nights for ticketed patrons to enjoy the exhibits and grounds, with show time starting at 8:00pm.

Artistic Director Bob Farley said of this encore production, "I have had so many requests from patrons over the past year and a half to bring this wonderful music back to Georgia Ensemble Theatre. I wanted to do the show, the performing artists wanted to do the show. All we needed was a space where we could perform and in an environment where an eager audience would join us. Through the generosity of the Chattahoochee Nature Center (CNC) staff and Chris Nelson, Executive Director, we were able to get together as good friends and form a great partnership in a perfect environment. The team of GET & the CNC makes for a perfect match ... the beauty and serenity of the Chattahoochee Nature Center and all that it has to offer blended perfectly with the exquisite experience of a summer evening with John Denver's music performed by the perfect Georgia Ensemble Theatre cast."

Chris Nelson, Executive Director of the Chattahoochee Nature Center adds, "We are delighted to partner with Georgia Ensemble Theatre. This is an opportunity for two non-profits to participate together in a project that broadens our audience. This will provide a wonderful cultural experience in Roswell at a beautiful natural setting on the banks of the Chattahoochee River."

Tickets are $15 per person for lawn seating, and $30 for reserved table seating under the Pavilion. Seating is limited, so advance reservations are strongly encouraged. Tickets are on sale now at www.get.org or by calling the Theatre at 770-641-1260.

The Cast: Almost Heaven, John Denver's America features the amazing ensemble of Dolph Amick, Mary Nye Bennett, Christopher Damiano, Scott DePoy and Jeremy Wood. Artistic Director Robert Farley is director of the production.

The Georgia Ensemble Theatre and Conservatory provides quality theatre productions and arts education to the north metro Atlanta area.
