Theatrical Outfit has announced that Freud's Last Session by Mark St. Germain, has been held over by popular demand through November 13, 2011 at the Balzer Theater at Herren's. Due to sell out shows 7 more performances have been added.

ABOUT THE PLAYWRIGHT:
Mark St. Germain has written the plays Camping with Henry and Tom (Outer Critics Circle Award and
Lucille Lortel Award), Out of Gas On Lover's Leap and Forgiving Typhoid Mary (Time Magazine's "Year's Ten Best"), Ears on a Beatle and The God Committee, all published by Samuel French and Dramatist Play Service. With
Randy Courts, he has written the musicals The Gifts of the Magi, Johnny Pye and the Foolkiller, winner of an AT&T "New Plays for the Nineties Award" and Jack's Holiday at
Playwrights Horizons. Mark's musical, Stand By Your Man: The
Tammy Wynette Story was created for Nashville's Ryman Theater. Television credits include Writer and Creative Consultant for The Cosby Show. He co-wrote the screenplay for Carroll Ballard's
Warner Brothers film, Duma. Mark directed and co-produced the upcoming documentary My Dog: An Unconditional Love Story, featuring
Richard Gere,
Glenn Close and
Edward Albee, among many others.
ABOUT THE DIRECTOR:
Jessica Phelps West previously directed Young Man from Atlanta, Shiloh Rules and The Sunset Limited for Theatrical Outfit. She is also a veteran of the Outfit stage as an actress during the 80's.
Miss West is the Assistant Artistic Director at Theatre in the Square and has guest directed at Ga. Shakes, Horizon, JTS, Aurora and the Alliance. She holds degrees in Theatre from Western Carolina and UGA. She is an SDC and AEA union member. Among her many accolades, she is the Suzi Bass Outstanding Director for Tradin' Paint (2009) and The Sunset Limited (2010). She is the most proud mom of her Ga. Tech junior,
Troy West, a work in progress.
ABOUT THE CAST:
David DeVries (Freud) is pleased to be with the Outfit again after beginning his career at the old Kress Building in shows like The Roy
Al Hunt of the Sun, Moon for the Misbegotten and I'm Not Rappaport. He went on to appear as Lumiere in Beauty and the Beast on Broadway and has toured the country in the National Tour of Wicked. Recent credits: Carapace (Alliance), Circle Mirror Transformation (TITS), Necessary Roughness (USA Network) and Drop Dead Diva (Lifetime). David is an award-winning audio book narrator and is the proud father of Willem, who possesses a nasty slider.
