The Emory College Center for Creativity & Arts (CCA) has opened the call for nominations for the CCA "Community Impact" awards to the Atlanta arts community.
Two Community Impact awards are given annually to recognize contributions made to the arts in Atlanta by artists, administrators, educators, activists or supporters in any or all disciplines. Nominees are welcome from any realm of the arts-from grassroots community engagement to broad-based activity. All nominees must have worked or resided in DeKalb or Fulton counties.
Nominations are also being accepted for awards that recognize contributions made by an Emory alum, faculty member, student, staff member, and campus arts volunteer to the artistic community at Emory.
Submit all nominations by Friday, August 16, 5 p.m., at
creativity.emory.edu/nominations.
Winners will be announced at the Emory Creativity & Arts Soiree, Sept. 6, 2012, 6:00-7:30 p.m. in Emory's Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. The awards presentation will begin following performances by Emory students. The Creativity & Arts Soiree is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.
For additional event details, please call 404-727-5674 or visit www.arts.emory.edu.
