Core Dance Presents Its 2018-2019 Season

Core Dance, the internationally-recognized, award-winning contemporary dance organization based in Atlanta, GA and Houston, TX, will present its 39th season of original dance works and community-based performances and outreach.

The season is filled with contemporary works from the Core Dance repertoire exploring personal loss, body and culture, the individual and the group, and the tension between culture and identity.

Core Dance continues its collaboration with international dance makers Niv Sheinfeld and Oren Laor of Israel, with performances on February 1 - 3, 2019 at 7 Stages of the humorous, deeply-felt, high-intensity American Playground, and a new work The Third Dance, the follow-up to Niv and Oren's award-winning Two Room Apartment, exploring the evolution and pathos of love and relationships.

Core Dance also continues its transformative community-based initiative, Dynamic X-Change, a healing arts program that uses movement as a catalyst for change. Community partners in Atlanta are Clarkston Community Center and East Atlanta Kids Club. The program receives support from Georgia Council for the Arts.
