Chase Peacock and Jessica De Maria, in partnership with the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, present VIVIAN, a musical ghost story by Chase & Jessica.
There are only five performances of this brand new musical event: October 11, 12, 13 at 8:00pm and October 14 at 8:00pm and 11:00pm. All performances will take place at The Lyric Studio Theatre in the Square located at 12 Powder Springs Street, Marietta GA 30067.
VIVIAN is a 90 minute musical ghost story that will leave you breathless. Dr. Cliff Bennett wanted a change of scenery for himself and his two daughters after the death of his wife, so he moved his family to a beautiful fixer upper in the countryside of California; but the changes they found were more than they bargained for.
ABOUT THE CAST:
Atlanta favorite, Travis Smith, leads this premiere cast as CLIFF BENNET. Travis has most recently graced Atlanta stages in The Bridges of Madison County and with his Suzi Award winning performance as Huey in Memphis at Aurora Theatre. TRAVIS has also appeared in The Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, Tall Girls, and Bull Durham: The Musical at the ALLIANCE THEATRE as well as countless performances with Georgia Shakespeare, Theatrical Outfit and more. TRAVIS is a familiar face to television audiences with guest starring roles in "Halt and Catch Fire" and "Necessary Roughness".
Mabel Tyler, joins us in the title role, fresh off her turn as MATILDA in the National Tour of the hit Broadway Musical. Locally, Mabel has appeared in Shrek at the Atlanta Lyric Theatre, Les Miserables and Mary Poppins at Aurora Theatre and as the title character in Madeline's Christmas at Horizon Theatre.
The cast also features rising Atlanta stars, Brittany Ellis (The Snow Queen, Shrek, Carousel, Kiss Me Kate) and AUSTIN TAYLOR (Miss Saigon, Dogfight).
ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM:
Chase Peacock and Jessica De Maria are Atlanta based actors, singers and writers and have been seen on multiple stages throughout the city. Chase was an original member of the cast of Green Day's American Idiot on Broadway and was the composer for the web series Weiner and Weiner. Jessica premiered and performed in her co-written work The Last Time We Were Here off-Broadway at The New York Musical Theatre Festival in 2015. The pair have been writing and working together for just over two years. Their first original musical, What's Past, premiered at the Atlanta Musical Theatre Festival, and had professional readings at Serenbe Playhouse, and the Threshold New Play Festival at Actor's Express. Director, JULIE SKRZYPEK has directed at Synchronicity Theatre, Dallas Theatre, Essential Theatre, Academy Theatre, The Seedling Project, Emory University, and Clayton State University as well as partnered and stage managed with many Atlanta Theatre's along with Flying Carpet Theatre (New York), MAPP International (LA) and Chez Bushwick (New York). JULIE is a Producing member of The Weird Sisters Theatre Project and Artistic Director of Theatre Buford. Currently, she is embarking on a world tour with Jonah Bokaer, Daniel Arsham, and Pharrell Williams's Rules Of the Game which is co-commissioned by SOLUNA International Music & Arts Festival of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, BAM, Krannert Center for the Performing Arts, Center for the Art of Performance at UCLA, with major presentation support at La Biennale de la Danse de Lyon and the Brisbane Festival, Australia.
Music Director, ALLi LinGENFELTER is well-known to Atlanta audiences through her work on Company, Sweeney Todd, Rent (Suzi Bass Award nomination), The Rocky Horror Show (Actor's Express); Nobody Loves You (Horizon Theatre Company); The Light in the Piazza (Theatrical Outfit); and more. Alli holds an MM from The University of Georgia.
