In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Jim Henson's fantastical film Labyrinth, Center for Puppetry Arts invites guests to journey into the magical world of the Goblin King with its brand-new, immersive special exhibit Jim Henson's Labyrinth: Journey to Goblin City, A 30th Anniversary Celebration, opening September 2, 2016. The exhibit will run until the fall of 2017 and feature more than 20 never before seen artifacts and memorabilia from the cult classic film for guests to enjoy!

Featured items will include original goblin puppets from the film, the plaster mold for the head of the original Hoggle puppet, crystal balls used by David Bowie, his costume from the M.C. Escher inspired stair scene and behind the scenes video and photography from the production.

To kick-off the opening, the Center will host an exclusive Labyrinth Masquerade Ball on Thursday, September 1 in the atrium of the Center at the entrance to the new Worlds of Puppetry Museum. Guests are invited to adorn themselves in Labyrinth-inspired costume and paraphernalia. The ball will be held in conjunction with the opening night of the annual pop culture festival Dragoncon. Guests will be the first from the general public to view the new exhibit. The featured celebrity guest of the evening will be Brian Henson (son of Jim Henson and cast member of Labyrinth). Henson will judge a costume contest and award Henson-related prizes to the winners. Tickets are $125 and go on sale Saturday, May 21 at 12 p.m.

Museum tickets are FREE (Members) / $10.50 (Nonmembers). All tickets can be purchased online at www.puppet.org or by calling the ticket sales office at 404.873.3391.
